Two years ago, The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles to claim another Super Bowl championship. Jalen Hurts watched on as the confetti came down, and he never forgot.
Two years later in Super Bowl LIX, Hurts got his revenge, defeating the Chiefs to prevent a three-peat. Hurts walked away with the MVP trophy.
On social media, former quarterback Robert Griffin III compared Hurts finishing his story to Cody Rhodes losing at WrestleMania 39, but returning at WrestleMania XL to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts is the NFL’s Cody Rhodes.

They both found success early and ran into adversity. They were both doubted by the masses. They both made it to the top and lost. They both found redemption.
They both FINISHED THE STORY.
YOU LOVE TO SEE IT. pic.twitter.com/56qBuX3tIn
Cody reacted to the comparison.
Just a couple of QB1’s finishing their stories.

The greater challenge is what comes next, but @JalenHurts is certainly built for it.
Congrats to the @Eagles on becoming the #SBLIX Champions ---- https://t.co/hXSVSV5iwZ
