Rhea Ripley compliments Bayley but warns her not to waste her title shot.

Bayley won the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble to earn a title match of her choosing at WWE WrestleMania 40. Ahead of the match, she repeatedly teased her intent to challenge Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley for the gold, as her Damage CTRL stablemate IYO SKY holds the WWE Women's Championship.

Wrestling Open Results (11/14): Zayda Steel, Brad Baylor, Aaron Rourke, Marcus Mathers Compete

Speaking with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Rhea Ripley discussed the Women's Royal Rumble match. She emphasized that she was proud of the women's division. As for Bayley, Ripley playfully warned the Damage CTRL member not to waste her title shot by challenging her.

"Watching the whole thing, everyone did so exceptionally well, and I’m proud of our division. We really showed everyone exactly what we’ve got, and I’m very proud of them. Then Bayley taking the dub, I mean, I love Bayley. I think she’s great. I’ve danced with her in the ring a couple times, and we’ve teamed together with WarGames and all that. I want to say that she has love for me too, and she wouldn’t choose me for WrestleMania and just throw away her ticket to WrestleMania like that. If I were her, I would keep my eyes on the people around her. Because it’s good to keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer," Ripley said.

Bayley previously said that facing Ripley at WrestleMania 40 would be a dream match she had never thought of before.
