Rhea Ripley: Challenging For WWE Intercontinental Title Would Be A Step For The Women's Evolution

Rhea Ripley comments on potentially challenging for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

In 1999, Chyna made history when she became the first female to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. While WWE has gone away from physical interactions between males and females, Rhea Ripley has been an exception as she she bodyslammed her male counterparts and put them in choke holds.

Who Was The Fan Tossed By Bronson Reed Onto Braun Strowman On WWE Raw?

Speaking to Adam Barnard of Foundation Radio, Ripley was asked if she could see herself potentially challenging for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

"Yeah. I'd be stupid to say no. I haven't seen much of that lately. I saw it maybe a few months back when I was beating up all the guys. I would absolutely love that. That would be a real historic moment. I get to follow in amazing steps like Chyna. It'd be a step for the women's evolution. We'd be taking over that a little bit more where we're seeping into the men's division and showing them what the women can do," she said.

Before she potentially goes after the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Ripley will be looking for revenge on Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio.

Dominik turned on his "Mami" at WWE SummerSlam, aligning with Morgan and helping her retain the WWE Women's World Title.
