On Feb. 10, WWE announced Simone Johnson, daughter of The Rock, would be reporting to the WWE Performance Center to began training. Johnson has been working out at the Performance Center on and off for over a year, but the news confirmed she would be pursuing a career in WWE.
No stranger to the Performance Center, NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley spoke to Metro about Simone joining her full-time at the PC.
”I’m very, very excited for Simone. She’s one of my close friends, and I’m so happy that she’s here at the Performance Centre with us. The main thing I always tell her whenever I do see her is to just ignore the drama, stay in your own lane, work the hardest and try your best. Just succeed and excel within your own brackets of talent. Just try and not let everything get to you, because that’s the hardest bit in any sporting background. It’s just the drama that comes with sport unfortunately, and the one thing I’m trying to get her to stay away from," said Rhea.
In an interview with Cathy Kelley, Simone discussed training at the Performance Center and her father visiting her. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
