WWE has released Rick Boogs.
On September 21, 2023, WWE released Rick Boogs from his contract.

First appearing on NXT as Eric Bugenhagen, Boogs would make a splash in 2022 alongside Shinsuke Nakamura. Boogs and Nakamura would challenge Jimmy and Jey Uso for the WWE SmackDown tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 38.
Unfortunately, Boogs suffered an injury in that match. After undergoing surgery, he would spend almost a year on the shelf to repair a torn quad before reemerging on the January 30, 2023, episode of Monday Night Raw, briefly being paired with Elias before being drafted to SmackDown.
His last appearance for the company was at WWE SummerSlam 2023, as he was in the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal.
During his time in WWE, he also portrayed the character of Joseph Average as part of a deal promoting Old Spice as that character he would win the WWE 24/7 Championship on March 21, 2021.
