Ricky Starks Confirms That He's Still Under AEW Contract, Talks Return To Glory Pro Wrestling

Ricky Starks didn't want to be stuck at home anymore.

Starks shocked the world back in October by turning up at a Glory Pro event and setting up a match with Kody Lane at the promotion's WrestlePocalypse show on November 24. This will be Starks' first time competing since May, when he faced QT Marshall at a BTW event.

During a new interview with Joe Roderick of Claibs Online, Starks confirmed that he's still under contract with All Elite Wrestling, despite not appearing for the company in nearly eight months.

“Correct, yes. Yes, I am.”

Then, Starks went on to talk about how he didn't want to be stuck at home much longer, prompting him to take an opportunity with Glory Pro.

“Well, you know, I can’t be stuck at home for too much longer, I go stir crazy. I saw an opportunity with Kody Lane to come out and challenge for the title of course. I thought it was even a better idea because I used to actually live in St. Louis, I used to live in Melville of all places. So I thought it was a good way to make a return and also too, I’ve known Cody for quite a bit, he used to train here in Texas. I said, ‘Well, why not, why not just come back and test the grit against somebody that I’m very much familiar with.’”

Glory Pro's WrestlePocalypse show is also set to feature performers like Danhausen, Allie Katch, Effy, and Dak Draper.

Fans can catch weekly episode of Glory Pro ASCEND over their YouTube channel.
