Saints came marching into NXT.
The former Ricky Starks first appeared on WWE NXT on February 11. Notably, WWE commentary and Ricky himself avoided saying his name. This practice continued for the next week, and throughout the February 18 episode of NXT, everyone addressing Ricky avoided saying his name. Finally, when he signed his contract, the name on the paper was revealed to be Ricky Saints, his new WWE ring name.
Getting to the part where he signed the paper was a small hassle for the former AEW World Tag Team Champion. At first, he was interrupted by Ethan Page, who teased him about never being able to reach the heights that he did when he signed to NXT and had his first match for the NXT Title. A vengeful Je'Von Evans would take Ethan out. Still, Ricky was interrupted again by Wes Lee. Lee felt disrespected by Ricky earlier in the show, and it was decided that they would wrestle on February 25. Starks knocked Leee out of the ring and finally put pen to paper, revealing his name to be Ricky Saints.
