Ricochet On 2016 Match With Will Ospreay: It Definitely Was Not The Best Match I've Ever Seen, But It Was Fun

Ricochet reflects on his 2016 NJPW bout with Will Ospreay.

On AEW Dynamite's 5th anniversary show earlier this week, Ricochet and Will Ospreay battled for the AEW International Championship in a rematch years in the making. The pair had previously met on several occasions, with the most notable being a bout between the pair back in 2016 in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

While speaking with RJ City on the latest episode of Hey! (EW), Ricochet looked back on his 2016 match with Ospreay, noting that it was not the best match he'd ever seen, but he found it fun.

"It's all perspective, so I guess technically both can be true. It definitely was not the best match I've ever seen, but it was fun, and we just tried to have some fun, and I think the people who were there watching it live really enjoyed it, so."

The bout from Wednesday's Dynamite was ended by Konosuke Takeshita, when he attacked both men causing a no contest.

Ricochet, Takeshita and Ospreay will meet in a triple threat for the championship at AEW WrestleDream. You can read more about that here.
