Ricochet captures his first title on the main roster.
Ricochet did not waste his shot at WWE Stomping Grounds, defeating Samoa Joe to win the United States Title. Joe used his power game to slow down Ricochet throughout the match, but Ricochet's speed and aerial offense were too much for the Samoan Submission Machine.

After the bout, Ricochet was greeted by Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, Carmella, and other WWE superstars backstage, congratulating him on his victory. Triple H was also present to give his former NXT pupil a big hug.
