Ricochet waited till the last second to believe he had made it to WWE.
Ricochet was recently interviewed by a local news station in his hometown of Paducah, Kentucky. Much of the interview examined Ricochet making a name for himself and the western Kentucky city including his choice to be announced from Paducah instead of a larger city like Louisville. In the interview, Ricochet also revealed he was uncertain he would ever be in WWE.
"I never thought I would be here. The fact I am now is insane," said Ricochet. "I always said 'nothing's certain until it's certain.' That's how I always looked at it...It really didn't hit me until I was at the post office. 'When I send (his contract) off, that's it,'" he added.
Also during the segment, Ricochet's mother and friend were interviewed. His mother Loretta Mann said Ricochet sent her a picture when he was at the post office. In another part of the interview, Ricochet revealed his father did not approve when he quit football to pursue professional wrestling and Ricochet's friend Aaron Duncan said a guidance counselor told Ricochet quitting football was a mistake.
