Ridge Holland provides an update on his broken nose.
Ridge Holland appeared ready for a breakout year in 2022 but on the first day of the year, he broke his nose while competing in a tag team match at WWE Day 1.
Ridge suffered a broken nose when Ricochet landed on his face during the kick-off match of the Pay-Per-View and now, he is providing an update on his injury, sharing the advice that Seamus, his on-screen partner, has given him dealing with such an injury.
“I feel good. I took a bit of a knock thanks to Ricochet but, the surgery was very good, the nose is fixed. I’m just waiting for it to heal fully now so, we’re good,” Holland said on El Brunch de WWE.
Revealing that he most likely expects to spend the Royal Rumble making sure Sheamus performs well in the match, Ridge also recalls the joke that Seamus told him about looking up to him a little too much with the newly suffered facial injury.
“Well, it's quite ironic that he broke his nose twice, and then, me looking up to Sheamus, I end up breaking mine. So, Sheamus was like, 'I know you look up to me, but you didn't have to break your face, you know?’ He's giving me advice. Just rest up and then, once the noses healed, we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming.”
In regards to potentially using the mask that Sheamus did this past autumn when he had a broken nose, Ridge says that nothing is off the table.
“Yeah, the option’s there. I think I’ll need some protection when I first get in the ring so, I might have borrow something off him.”
Seamus is currently announced for the Royal Rumble match along with former WWE Champion Big E, Rey Mysterio, The Street Profits, and Jackass Superstar Johnny Knoxville. You can see a full list of announced names at this link.
