WWE Day 1 started off with an injury.
The kickoff show featured a tag team match that saw Sheamus & Ridge Holland take on Cesaro & Ricochet. Early on, Ricochet went for an assisted splash, but on his way down, his boot caught Holland in the face and busted him open. Holland quickly rolled to the outside and was taken to the back for further evaluation.
Michael Cole then provided an update and said that Holland will not be returning and has been diagnosed with a broken nose.
Sheamus did eventually win the match despite being shorthanded, hitting a Brough Kick on Cesaro for the pinfall.
