Robbie Brookside Talks Being Bloodied Up And Beaten During His First Wrestling Training Session

Robbie Brookside was literally broken into the business.

Former wXw World Heavyweight Champion and British wrestling staple Robbie Brookside is currently a trainer at the WWE Performance Center and will also be a part of the training staff at the new Performance Center in London, England. Upon the breaking news of the new P.C., the media spoke with a number of WWE's U.K. stars and WWE executives and during the media scrum, the 'Daily Star' spoke with Robbie Brookside.

During their discussion Brookside spoke about the first wrestling training session he attended at 14-years old. Brookside said the trainer felt that Robbie thought wrestling was fixed in terms of the pain and from that point forward it was not a pleasant night for Robbie and although he left the session bruised, bloody and beaten up, he returned the following week for more.

[The trainer] sees me, gets all excited, and says, 'Right lads, this kid thinks it is all fixed'," he said. "He told me to get on the mat, and to this day I have never felt pain like it. I had been in fights before, been headbutted, punched and genuinely battered. But they took me down and I didn't know where he was, all the dust went in my face, he ripped my head of my shoulders, I was bleeding from my ear, and it just wasn't very nice." Robbie explained. "I could probably get them all charged now with abusing a 14-year-old and get the factory closed down."

While mentioning the new WWE Performance Center, NXT UK founder and senior producer Triple H stated during a recent interview that he can say for certain that there will a Performance Center in India and to read Fightful's published article about that comment, click here.
