Robbie Eagles Comments On Potentially Competing At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2

Robbie Eagles expresses his interest in competing at Forbidden Door.

Eagles, a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, somewhat stepped through the Forbidden Dor when he faced Claudio Castagnoli on the May 4 episode of ROH TV. He didn't compete at the first AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event in 2022, but the 2023 show is on his radar.

Speaking on Keepin' It Strong Style, Eagles was asked whether there was any chance fans would see him at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2. He noted that he couldn't spill any beans before he stated that competing at the show has been on his list since the Best of the Super Juniors tournament in 2022.

“Who knows, fellas? I can’t spill any beans. It’s definitely something that’s been on my list since Super Juniors last year. It’s just unfortunate that Wheeler Yuta’s not the Pure Champion anymore because he still owes me a title shot. Whether he’s got a championship belt around his waist, I’m still gonna demand that he owes me a title shot. He can get it to me however he likes," Eagles said.

In the same interview, Eagles noted that he nearly tore his AC joint when he faced Claudio Castagnoli. Check out his comments here.
