Roman Reigns: We Were Making Things Cool Again In 2020, Cody Rhodes Was Somewhere Doing A Lot Of Nothing

The build to WrestleMania 40 continues.

Just five days before 'The Show Of Shows', The Rock and Roman Reigns appeared on the April 1 episode of WWE Raw. Rock started off the segment by bragging about his actions on the March 25 episode of Raw, where he made Cody Rhodes bleed.

Rock then threw to a video package on the screen that documented some child reactions to that segment. Rock noted that those videos break his heart, but sometimes in life, a man has got to do what a masn has got to do.

'The Final Boss' then celebrated wrestling being cool again and the success of the promotion's television ratings before introducing Roman Reigns.

Reigns started out by referencing his recent A&E documentary and noting that family is above all for him. Reigns then went on to focus on Cody Rhodes, as he said that 'The American Nightmare' is not fit to be in the shoes of the company's top guy. 'The Tribal Chief' said that Rhodes was out somewhere else doing nothing important when The Bloodline's run began before noting that they allowed him to come back to WWE. Reigns said that things have went too far and that they run this business.

Seth Rollins came out next and cut straight to the chase, noting that he is ready to fight. Rollins then proceeded to challenge The Rock or Roman Reigns to a match on Raw. Both of those options were declined, as Solo Sikoa stepped up to the plate and accepted the challenge instead.

This was the follow-up angle to a segment that took place on the March 25 episode of WWE Raw, which saw The Rock beat down Cody Rhodes in the rain to close the show. Learn more about that segment here.
