The reveal came when Strong attacked Kushida after his bout with Kyle O'Reilly. He was flanked by Rust and Suzuki. Bivens then entered the ring to say, "this is Diamond Mine" before handing Strong the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.

Strong "resigned" from NXT on April 13 and had not been on television since. Bivens and Rust were paired up at the end of 2020 with Bivens calling Rust a "Diamond in the Rust," but the duo has not been on screen together since February. Suzuki joined the WWE Performance Center as a coach in April. He's previously wrestled for Big Japan Pro Wrestling, Wrestle-1, and Zero1.
