While Scott hasn't been featured much on NXT television, he's been a regular at the NXT live events in Florida. Scott (formerly Shane Strickland on the Independent scene) was part of the NXT Breakout Tournament, losing in the first round to eventual finalist Cameron Grimes. Scott has also been featured on 205 Live in recent months, even challenging Drew Gulak for the Cruiserweight Championship in July.
Also scheduled for Wednesday's episode of NXT:
* NXT Cruiserweight Championship: Drew Gulak (c) vs. Lio Rush
* WALTER vs. Kushida
* Fallout from Finn Balor and Tommaso Ciampa returning to the brand and Shayna Baszler retaining her NXT Women's Championship against Candice LeRae.
Fightful will have live coverage of NXT on Oct. 9 beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
