Roman Reigns Returns At WWE SummerSlam, Bray Wyatt Wins Universal Championship

Roman Reigns is back to reclaim his yard.

'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt defeated Braun Strowman to become the WWE Universal Champion in the main event of WWE SummerSlam, but the big story from the night was Roman Reigns returning to wreck everyone.

Reigns had been off television since before WrestleMania 36, wanting to be with his family during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was scheduled to face Goldberg for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 36, but was replaced by Braun Strowman, who ended up winning the title.

Strowman walked into SummerSlam as the Universal Champion, but 'The Fiend' left the event as champion, defeating Strowman with the Sister Abigail onto the exposed ring. Wyatt's celebration was short-lived as Roman delivered a spear to the new champion and then destroyed by Wyatt and Strowman with a steel chair.
