Ruby Soho is ready to test her skills against all of the women in All Elite Wrestling but she has her eyes on one person in particular more than anyone else.
Ruby Soho burst onto the scene in AEW in Grand fashion by winning the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out 2021. Because of this, she has had an atypical start to her time in the women's division by immediately going after the Women's Championship. This means that thus far she has only faced Jamie Hayter, Rebel, and, of course, Britt Baker.
Ruby now has potential matches waiting for her with the likes of Anna Jay, Thunder Rosa, Big Swole, Hikaru Shida, Jade Cargill, and many of the other great women's wrestlers in AEW.
Speaking to Renee Paquette on her Oral Sessions Podcast, Ruby Soho, formerly Ruby Riott, named a handful of women that she would like to get share the ring with in AEW. First on her list was Serena Deeb. Serena is special to Ruby because for one reason or another, they have always just missed one another throughout their runs in various promotions.
"There's a bunch of them that kind of slipped through my fingers on the indies that I feel like I've wanted to work with for quite some time. The one that comes to mind first and foremost is Serena Deeb. Serena, I've been like a step behind her a lot through our careers like she made it to SHIMMER, and then when she left SHIMMER, I was there. Then she went to OVW. Like, she left [and] I was there. Then, WWE. Now at AEW, so I've just been right behind her. Yeah, and I'm a huge fan of her. I think she's incredible. So, she's definitely one of them," said Ruby of Deeb.
She added, "I think that Diamante is amazing. Big Swole is amazing. I've wanted to work with Nyla Rose for a long time, but she's impressive as all hell. So like there's that's the thing is like I just I'm so excited at the possibilities of all the girls that I get to face and all the different kinds of fight that they're going to bring out in me."
In the main event of AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, Ruby Soho came up short in her attempt to wrestle away the Women's Championship from Britt Baker, this was largely due to interference from Rebel and Jamie Hayter.
