Rob Van Dam had no idea he was signing with IMPACT Wrestling.
"The Whole F'n Show" Rob Van Dam made his return to IMPACT Wrestling at the company's 'United We Stand' show on April 4th where he teamed with Sabu to take on Pentagon Jr. and Fenix. Rob Van Dam has signed on for more dates with IMPACT Wrestling and will be appearing on future episodes of IMPACT TV. The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion got the deal with IMPACT done while speaking with IMPACT co-Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore and RVD revealed during a recent interview with Hannibal TV, that while he was establishing a verbal agreement with D'Amore, he did not know he was signing with IMPACT Wrestling until he got a look at the contract.
“Well, it was Scott D’Amore who was talking to me, and at first it was one match, which happened last night. Well, to be honest, when I agreed to that match, I didn’t even know there was IMPACT." He said. "I knew I was talking to Scott D’Amore but I didn’t know what all he does and when I signed the contract. I saw it was IMPACT and I was like, ‘Oh okay, that’s cool’ and then he started talking about doing future dates and so basically, people think that I come across like I’m super selective about the bookings that I take, but the fact is that my standards are a lot higher than everybody else because they’re trying to get out there and work their asses off. Me? I already did that." RVD explained. "I worked hard to not work hard. So, when people are able to meet my fee, then I usually do end up coming out of the house and usually that’s out of the United States so that’s several years I’ve been in Italy and England and Australia. Mostly wrestling overseas because they got more money, but as you understand now, IMPACT is taking care of RVD or I wouldn’t be there.”
