RVD Says He's Had Talks With WWE, But Not About Wrestling

While Rob Van Dam wrestles here and there, we've not seen him in a WWE ring in over three years. It wouldn't appear that's changing any time soon.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, the former WWE and ECW Champion RVD was asked about his relationship with the company. Van Dam stated that while he's had some talks with WWE, it hasn't been about getting in the ring. Even at nearly 47 years old, he hasn't ruled it out.

“I’ve talked to WWE recently, but it’s about the new video games that are coming out. That was more of a business talk about that, but when the business is right and it’s the right time to go back, that, of course, is then always a possibility," said Van Dam.

RVD last appeared for WWE on August 26, 2014, where he faced Seth Rollins in a pair of matches that would be filmed for Smackdown and Main Event. Now, he has his sights focused on a Hurricane relief event put on by former tag team partner Booker T.

"Booker T is among the closest of my friends, so I’m looking forward to seeing him, and it’s going to be a fun event. It’s a great cause, and it’s going to be a real good chance to give back," said RVD.
