Sam Stackhouse discusses his friendship with Jacob Fatu.
Jacob Fatu made his WWE debut on Friday's WWE SmackDown, joining Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, & Tonga Loa in the Bloodline and decimating Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, & Cody Rhodes. Before signing with WWE, Fatu was one of the top names on the independent scene with standout performances in MLW and GCW.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Stephen Jensen on The Spotlight, Sam Stackhouse discussed his friendship with Fatu and reflected on their bout together.
"He's become one of my best friends in the business, which is absolutely insane. That was another time where I felt like I made it. They sent me out and I hear his music and I'm in the ring waiting for Jacob Fatu, knowing I'm about to have this match and beat him. He put me over clean. Ever since that day, we've been friends. We got to go backstage at WWE in Denver, like a week before Mania last year. That was the first time he ever got to go back there, too. It was a random, spur of the moment thing. We always have that. He's one of the nicest, scariest people in the world. He's going to shock the world. I promise you that," said Stackhouse.
Stackhouse defeated Fatu at WCR Clash At The Cotillion VI in February 2022.
