Sami Zayn says he was honored to be involved in Jamie Noble's final match.
Noble has worked for WWE for a number of years. In his first run with the company, he won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. He left WWE in 2004 but returned at the end of 2005. Prior to his return to the ring, Noble hadn't wrestled since June 2015, and he hasn't wrestled full-time since he suffered a back injury in 2009. In recent years, he has worked for WWE as a producer.
On December 11, Noble wrestled one last time at the WWE Live Holiday Tour event in Charleston, West Virginia. He teamed up with Ridge Holland, Butch, and Braun Strowman to face The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn. Noble clinched the win for his team by pinning Zayn to end his last match on a triumphant note.
Zayn subsequently shared his thoughts on the situation in a tweet. He stated that he was humbled and honored to share the ring with Noble in the veteran's last match. Zayn praised Noble and noted that he's one of the great minds for the business.
An emotional night. I’m humbled & honored to have had the privilege of sharing the ring with Jamie Noble tonight in his final match. Very few actually know how much Jamie has contributed to this industry. One of the great minds for the business & an unsung hero at @WWE.
