Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have a new ally.
On Friday's WWE SmackDown, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso were looking to settle their differences the main event, potentially culminating almost a year of history between the men.
While Owens thought the story may end with the match, Sami was unsure and needed to talk to Jey before the bout. As Sami and Jey were talking, Solo Sikoa took out Owens, pushing a case on his leg. Owens was unable to be ringside for Sami vs. Jey, putting the odds against one-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
Jey was victorious in the bout and things got worse for him as Sikoa continued the assault after the match. Solo was set to hit Sami with Samoan Spike, but Jey prevented it. Instead, Jey kicked Sami in the head and told Solo to get the chair.
Before Solo could inflict further damage, Matt Riddle made the save. Riddle was taken out of action by Solo in December before he made his return on Monday's WWE Raw.
