Sami Zayn: Not Everything Is, 'You're Main Eventing For The World Title Or You're Being Misused'

Sami Zayn is happy with what he's doing heading into WrestleMania.

Zayn recently signed a new contract with WWE and has said that he's felt valued by the company as he's been a featured player on television over the last year and a half.

Zayn will be taking on Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania 38 and while fans may think that Zayn should be doing something different than a celebrity bout, he's happy with his place on the card.

“It’s been a pretty unique experience because I don’t know, in all honesty, that this was always the plan,” Zayn told Sportsnet. "Our characters played off each other very well. He makes a fool of people and my character you want to see get made a fool of so there’s a natural connection there. I think the chemistry was good, and the reactions were good enough to get us to this point which is to face off at WrestleMania.I really enjoy it. I see the occasional comment (that) I should be doing something more, something better than wrestling Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania. I’m kind of thinking to myself, ‘what do you want exactly? What’s better?’ Unless you’re main eventing for the world title. Not everything is, ‘you’re main evening for the world title or you’re being misused.’”

Zayn and Knoxville have taken their feud across multiple platforms, with Knoxville even sharing Zayn's phone number.

The two men are set to collide as part of WrestleMania Sunday. Fans can check out the current lineup for WrestleMania Sunday by clicking here.
