Best wishes to Sami.
Following the 'Money In The Bank' PPV this past June, it was announced by WWE that former NXT Champion Sami Zayn had suffered an injury prior to his match at 'Money In The Bank' against Bobby Lashley. It was noted within the announcement that Sami was going to be out of action for a significant amount of time as he was set to undergo surgery on both of his rotator cuffs.
Zayn spoke with WWE.com in June and stated that he was aiming for a return to the ring by the time that WrestleMania 35 rolls around next April.
"Because of the timeline, I’d love to be in the mix for WrestleMania season; that’s the most exciting time of the year for all of us. I think timeline wise, I should be ready in time for WrestleMania, so fingers crossed," said Zayn.
Today, Sami Zayn shared on Twitter that he has undergone the second shoulder surgery and once Zayn is released from the hospital he will be able to begin his road to returning to the squared circle.
Before Sami Zayn was injured, he and his "best-friend" Kevin Owens were attempting to run rough shot over WWE. Kevin Owens is still in the process of trying to do just that as he has the opportunity to set himself up to become Universal Champion once again. To read up on how Owens can do that, click here.
