Sami Zayn scores a huge win.
Sami Zayn got a roaring ovation in Riyadh ahead of his first-ever singles match in Saudi Arabia at WWE Crown Jewel 2023. Zayn was able to utilize that response from the WWE Universe to defeat JD McDonagh. Although McDonagh isn't an official member of Judgment Day and is more of an associate of the faction, this victory puts Zayn in the driver's seat in his mission to dismantle the group.
Zayn uniquely got his victory, utilizing the Helluva Kick as the setup to the Blue Thunder Bomb, as opposed to his normal method of treating the Blue Thunder Bomb as more of a signature maneuver and the Helluva Kick as his finisher.

The Judgment Day will be in action throughout this event, with both Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley competing. There is also always the possibility of Priest cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase at some point in the event.
