Samoa Joe made his mark and is now getting a shot at the WWE Title.
Kofi Kingston successfully defended the WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler at Stomping Grounds on June 23rd and the following night on RAW, Kofi was able to best Sami Zayn in singles competition. As Kofi was standing on the entrance ramp after his victory, he was ambushed by Samoa Joe and was choked out by the "The Destroyer". WWE has since announced that at Extreme Rules on July 14th, Kofi Kingston will defend his WWE Championship against Samoa Joe.

In a video that was posted onto WWE's official Twitter page, Cathy Kelley was about to reiterate the news that Kofi Kingston versus Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship was made official for Extreme Rules until she was interrupted by Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler calmly made it clear that he and Kofi have unfinished business and maybe if he takes the route that Samoa Joe did, then maybe he can get another shot at the title.
