When Samoa Joe returned to WWE after his release in April, he didn't just return as an on-screen presence.
Joe also took on a role as a talent scout for the company.
Appearing on WWE El Brunch, Joe was asked about a Plan B after wrestling and mentioned his role in the scouting department.
"Commentary is something I very much enjoyed and would be willing to go back to at some point. Right now, some of my other responsibilities at WWE are helping find the new superstars that will be joining our roster and doing talent scouting around the world. I'm very much looking forward to that and very much looking forward to scouring this planet and finding the next great superstar, wherever they may be in the world," he said.
Elsewhere during the interview, Joe was asked about NXT coming to Mexico at some point.
He said, "I would very much love for there to be a NXT loop through Mexico, through Central America, and South America. It's one of our most fun markets. Every time we go down there, we have a great time and I'd love to see that happen. We need to expand more internationally and get to more international fans. For me personally, though I don't have much say in where we go, I'd love for it to happen sooner rather than later."
Joe returned to NXT as an assistant to general manager William Regal, but his time in that role didn't last long as he was provoked by Karrion Kross.
Joe will now face Kross for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver 36.
