Samoa Joe Retains, Jade Cargill Wins Again, Moxley Beats Moriarty | AEW Fight Size

Here is your post-AEW Dynamite fight size update for Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

- In the main event, Samoa Joe retained the ROH World Television Championship against Brian Cage. After the hard-fought battle, The Gates of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun) attacked Joe until Wardlow made the save. Powerhouse Hobbs then attacked Wardlow and stood tall over the TNT Champion.

- Despite interference from Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero, TBS Champion Jade Cargill defended her title against Marina Shafir, though Rose escaped with the championship after the bell.

- Lee Moriarty delivered an impressive performance against AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, but "The Purveyor of Violence" ultimately scored the win. Ethan Page laid out the champion after the bout. In a tweet, Page vowed to be a champion AEW fans can believe in.

- ROH World Champion Chris Jericho issued an open challenge, and it was answered by Colt Cabana. Despite Cabana's best efforts, Jericho won the bout to retain the gold. After the bell, Jericho was about to attack Ian Riccaboni, but Claudio Castagnoli saved the commentator, sparking a brawl between the Jericho Appreciation Society and the Blackpool Combat Club.

- Orange Cassidy successfully defended the AEW All-Atlantic Championship against Luchasaurus and Rey Fenix, but he had some help. Jungle Boy got involved and took his former partner out of the equation by tacking him off the stage. PAC also interfered and gave Fenix a ring bell hammer, but he refused to use it. Cassidy went on to clinch the win with a mid-air Orange Punch. Katsuyori Shibata saved Cassidy from a beatdown by PAC, and Cassidy gave him a shot at the title.

- In the opening match, Darby Allin battled Jay Lethal. A man dressed as Sting attacked Allin and helped Lethal win the bout. The individual revealed himself to be Cole Karter. Sting's music played, but it was a trap, as Jeff Jarrett snuck into the ring and blasted Allin with his guitar. Jarrett than made it clear that he's waging war on AEW.

- Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was in the crowd, and Chris Jericho riled up the Baltmore crowd when he threatened to beat him up.

- Renee Paquette was set to interview Britt Baker and Saraya. Baker no-showed, and Saraya stated that the former champion doesn't know what it's like to be a star. She teased that she'll have news about her medical status next week.

- Britt Baker refused to participate in Renee Paquette's interview, but she spoke with Tony Schiavone and stated that she and Jamie Hayter want to compete on AEW Rampage.

- Toni Storm will defend the AEW Interim Women's World Championship against Jamie Hayter at AEW Full Gear.

- The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) threw a birthday party for "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn. They unveiled foam fingers for scissoring purposes. The duo also revealed that they got the paperwork neded for Gunn to adopt them. His real sons, Austin and Colten Gunn, interrupted and distracted the trio. W. Morrissey attacked them from behind, and The Gunns joined in until FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) made the save.

- Rick Ross appeared on the show alongside Swerve Strickland and celebrated with him. Keith Lee confronted Strickland, but the latter pitched an eight-man tag team bout for next week.

- A House of Black vignette aired on the show, and Malakai Black was featured in the video.

- A vignette showed The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) being erased from AEW.

- Bobby Fish, among others, made it clear that he was happy to see Colt Cabana return to AEW TV.

- Ian Riccaboni commented on the Jericho Appreciation Society's attempted attack and stated that he'll keep coming back.

- EFFY responded to Jeff Jarrett's AEW debut by saying he's exhausted.

- Matt Hardy expressed his surprise regarding Jarrett's arrival.

- Matt Cardona was clearly excited about Jarrett's debut.
