IMPACT Wrestling has announced who SANADA will face at IMPACT Emergence on August 27.
The IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA will be making an appearance for IMPACT Wrestling at their upcoming Emergence event. Until August 17, it was not made clear who the champion would be facing, but IMPACT would announce during their television show that SANADA will take on the recently returned Jake Something.
The match was announced as a non-title affair, but it's a significant moment for Jake to make something of his career.
After learning that the current-reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, SANADA, would be making his long-awaited IMPACT return at Emergence, the wrestling world was abuzz with speculation on who his opponent may be. In another jaw-dropping development, we can now confirm that Jake Something will step up to the NJPW megastar in a first-time-ever matchup. SANADA is a former X-Division Champion, which is the same title that Jake challenged for upon his return at Slammiversary. Since then, Jake has put the roster on notice with a series of impressive showings but this bout with SANADA will surely be the toughest test of his career.

Also set for Emergence, The Rascalz duo of Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel will challenge for the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship against SUBCULTURE's Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster.
The Rascalz punched their ticket to the event by defeating Rich Swann & Sami Callihan in the finals of a tournament on the August 17 episode of IMPACT on AXS.

When the dust had settled, it was the Rascalz who emerged victorious after Miguel blinded his opponents with spray paint in both tournament matchups.
