SANADA makes a successful return.
At IMPACT Emergence, SANADA defeated Jake Something in single competition, marking a successful return to IMPACT for the reigning IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion.
SANADA picked up the victory with Deadfall.
After the bout, SANADA showed respect to Jake Something by shaking his hand.

It was noted on commentary that SANADA's IWGP World Heavyweight Title was stolen by EVIL. The two men will meet at NJPW Destruction In Ryogoku on October 9.
This was SANADA's first match in TNA/IMPACT since 2015 when he competed as The Great Sanada. It marked his first singles win in IMPACT since August 2014 when he defeated Austin Aries. He was a regular part of IMPACT in 2014.
