Santana posted a vignette that teased his return.
AEW star Santana has been out of action since he suffered a torn ACL in the Blood and Guts match on the June 29, 2022, episode of AEW Dynamite. In the match, Santana, Ortiz, Eddie Kingston, and the Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) defeated the Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker). Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently reported that Santana is expected to be ready to return soon.
On June 9, Santana posted a brief video in which he can be seen making a long journey. He takes a subway and continues to walk. Once he finally reaches his destination, he smiles and drops a pair of wrestling boots.

As of this writing, it's unclear when Santana will return to the ring. Fightful will continue to monitor the situation and provide information as it becomes available.
Fightful Select recently reported that AEW has continued to pay Santana during his time on the sidelines.
