Saraya comments on the Sasha Banks rumors.
On the December 7 edition of AEW Dynamite, it was revealed that Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter will team up to take on Saraya and a partner of her choosing on the January 11 edition of AEW Dynamite. Immediately, fans jumped to name Sasha Banks as Saraya's potential partner, given that the match was being promoted nearly a month out, which isn't common for AEW.
The next day, a report came out noting that Sasha Banks was expected to be at NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 17 event in January. This led to more speculation from fans, as NJPW has a working relationship with AEW.
In a new interview with Forbes, Saraya commented on the rumors.
"I feel like anytime there’s a mystery, everyone always goes straight for Mercedes (laughs). They’re like—straight away—it’s her! There’s plenty of women out there, I’m not going to say yes or no to anybody, but there’s a lot of exciting prospects for a potential tag partner.”
Saraya went on to reiterate a past sentiment, noting that she would love to have the chance to work with Banks again in any capacity.
“I’ve always said that I would want to work with Sasha again in any capacity, because she’s a pro. In the wrestling side of things, she’s such a fantastic athlete, you can’t deny her talent. She’s fantastic.”
