WWE is still disappointed with Sasha Banks and Naomi.
Last Monday's episode of Raw was scheduled to be headlined by a six-pack challenge featuring Sasha Banks, Naomi, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Nikki ASH, and Doudrop to determine the number one contender for the Raw Women's Championship. However, that all changed after it was learned that Banks and Naomi walked out of the arena.
The match was quickly changed to Asuka vs. Becky Lynch with WWE putting out a statement on the situation saying, "During the broadcast, they walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office with their suitcases in hand, placed their tag team championship belts on his desk, and walked out."
This past Friday on SmackDown, it was announced that both Superstars had been suspended and stripped of the Women's Tag Team Titles.
During the May 23 episode of WWE Raw, Banks and Naomi were mentioned by commentary during Nikki ASH's entrance prior to her match against Alexa Bliss. Corey Graves said the following, "Last week it was the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship and the then Women's Tag Team Champions Sasha and Naomi would leave during the broadcast of Monday Night Raw. Walk out of the arena during the show and Nikki ASH and Doudrop were actually scheduled to be part of the six-pack challenge main event. Sasha Banks and Naomi would relinquish their Championships and disappointed the WWE Universe in the process."
Banks and Naomi have yet to comment on the matter. Fightful will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates.
