Sasha Banks misses the live crowd, but also doesn't need the live crowd.
It's been almost a year since fans have been in the building for WWE events. Sasha Banks wrestled the first WWE television match during the pandemic era, teaming with Bayley against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross in the Performance Center.
Since then, WWE has upgraded to the ThunderDome to add virtual fans to the experience, but the piped in audio doesn't replicate the experience of a live crowd.
Speaking to The Complex Sports podcast, Sasha discussed the impact of fans, and lack of fans, at events.
"I miss the live energy of people and fans. You guys can create so much magic and take me on a ride and make me change my mind in my matches and make me do different things. I miss that so much. Thank God, I still have an amazing and incredible mind that I don't even need you guys," she said with a laugh.
Reminiscing about the pop she would receive in front of a live crowd, Sasha revealed her favorite pop of all-time and how she made miracles happen.
"My favorite pop of all-time is myself against Bayley in Brooklyn. That crowd and that reaction is everything I ever dreamt of. People were on their feet, no one was sitting down. Not even people in wheelchairs were sitting down. I was making miracles happen. I was making men cry," she recalled.
Banks and Bayley battled at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015 in what is considered by many to be the greatest women's wrestling match of all-time.
The two reignited their feud in 2020 when Bayley turned on Banks following the two enjoying a successful run as Women's Tag Team Champions throughout the summer.
Elsewhere during the podcast, Sasha discussed Snoop Dogg's splash on AEW Dynamite. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
