It went down just the way Matt Riddle said it did.
Bill Goldberg and Matt Riddle have (sort of) had words for quite some time now. What started as Matt Riddle often criticizing Goldberg's work on his 2016-2017 Fightful BroCast has turned into something much bigger.
After years of taking shots at Goldberg, Riddle met the former WWE Universal Champion at WWE Summerslam 2019 in Toronto. Riddle would go as far as to detail the meeting during the WWE Watch Along that night.
It was also noted that cameras were present, and captured the meeting. That footage was revealed on Goldberg's "Chronicle" episode on Sunday night. You can check out the footage and a transcript below.

GOLDBERG: Didn't mean to run into you like that.
RIDDLE: No problem bro, how are you?
GOLDBERG: We gotta talk!
RIDDLE: Anytime
GOLDBERG: After this shit happens, anytime.
RIDDLE: Alright, I'm in the building. I'll be watching the match. I'll see you in a little, bro.
GOLDBERG: Yeah you will, bro! Good thing you're wearing your shoes.
RIDDLE: I don't need shoes, bro.
GOLDBERG: You're right, bro. First of all I'm not your bro.
RIDDLE: Okay.
GOLDBERG: Could have been, a long time ago, you put a stop to that.
RIDDLE: Eh. Okay. Just an opinion, if you don't like it, that's fine.
GOLDBERG: You got it. Awesome. Nice to meet you.
RIDDLE: Pleasure's all mine, bro.
GOLDBERG: I ain't your bro.
RIDDLE: I hear ya. I hear ya.
A few weeks after the later discussion, Fightful was told that the two sides would "agree to disagree." Riddle has continued to call out Bill Goldberg, while Goldberg has pretended to not know who Riddle is, taking shots at the fact he's on WWE's NXT brand.
