Finn Balor will get his rematch at WWE SummerSlam.
On the July 17 episode of WWE Raw, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins sat down with Byron Saxton for an interview. With WWE SummerSlam just a few weeks away, Rollins was asked about his plans to defend the title. He stated that the championship deserved to be defended in a marquee match. Shortly after he admitted that Finn Balor was on his list of contenders, Balor interrupted and made it clear that he wanted a rematch. He vowed to get revenge by winning the title and changing Rollins' life, much like Rollins took his Universal Championship in 2016.
Rollins replied by stating that the title was bigger than the two of them, and if Balor simply wanted to settle a grudge, the gold didn't need to be involved in the match. Balor started to walk away before he blindsided the champion with an attack.

Later in the show, the broadcast team confirmed that Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Balor at WWE SummerSlam.
Rollins previously defeated Balor to retain the title at WWE Money in the Bank, where a distraction from Damian Priest somewhat cost Balor the match.
