“The Messiah” rises once again.
Seth Rollins disappeared from Friday Night SmackDown after the 2020 WWE Survivor Series event when he sacrificed himself and kicked off the deficit that would eventually cause Team SmackDown to be the victims of a clean sweep by Monday Night Raw.
WWE is now advertising that Seth Rollins will return on the first SmackDown of 2021 which will take place on New Year's Day.

Of course, outside the ring, Seth Rollins recently became a father for the first time as he and Becky Lynch celebrated the birth of their daughter, Roux.
When last seen on television, Seth Rollins was embroiled in a rivalry with Rey Mysterio, the Mysterio Family, and his former disciple, Murphy. Thus far, no intentions have been made clear regarding what Seth Rollins wants to do Upon returning but Royal Rumble season is upon us.
