Shane McMahon may be the new commissioner of Smackdown Live, but even he doesn't know how long that's going to last.
Former European and Hardcore Champion Shane McMahon shocked the wrestling world in February when he made his return to the WWE after six years. His match with The Undertaker has been heavily criticized, as the WrestleMania outcome didn't exactly make sense. According to a report by Wrestling Observer, it all may be played by ear.

The outlet is reporting that Shane McMahon isn't sure of how long he'll actually remain with WWE or on television. It was also said that despite his on-screen role, Shane doesn't hold a front office position with the company.
Many suspected that McMahon wouldn't hang around long after his February 22 return. After losing the aforementioned WrestleMania match, McMahon still was given partial control of Raw. After five months, he still sparingly appears on television, and was given the spot of "commissioner" of Smackdown Live. However, general managers for the Raw and Smackdown brands will be named on Raw.
