Shane Taylor praises Lee Moriarty and vows to earn respect.
On the January 20 episode of AEW Collision, Jon Moxley made his return to AEW and faced former ROH World Television Champion Shane Taylor. Moxley scored the hard-fought victory in the match, which marked Taylor's Collision debut.
AEW shared a video on social media in which Shane Taylor was asked for a word following his loss.
“Let’s have a word. You know what, Moxley, let’s have a word. Lee Moriarty is the best young technical wrestler on the planet. Jericho passed up on him, Blackpool Combat Club passed up on him. They took Garcia, they took Yuta. None of them could carry his jock. You left Lee Moriarty to the wolves, but the wolves have his back now. Tonight, I didn’t give a damn about my Collision debut. It was about sending you a message. Nobody takes anything from STP. Nobody leaves us out of anything. All of you will respect us. This industry will respect us, and we will do so by any means necessary. Rumble, young man, rumble," Shane Taylor said.
Taylor reposted the video and stated that every lesson they learned along the way only made them stronger, and it would make their rise to the top even sweeter.
Every lesson we learn along the way is only making us stronger...and is only going to make our rise to the top that much sweeter.
