Shawn Michaels Was A Fan Of James Vick's UFC Superkick

Some say the superkick is devalued these days, but you might not be able to tell Shawn Michaels or any number of MMA fighters the same.

The latest instance was UFC top-15 fighter James Vick busting out "Sweet Chin Music" on his opponent Francisco Trinaldo at UFC Austin. On the latest episode of Sean Waltman's X Pac 12360 podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer Michaels spoke about the move, and seemed to think Vick was a little bigger than he actually is.

"Yeah it was James Vick… I wanna say he’s like 6’7’’ or something like that, he’s a big kid, a big tall kid and he tweeted me a picture of it. One could argue that there are a lot of the guys that do that during a fight but to watch a dude that is 6’7’’... you know just the fact that they watch our stuff, cause I certainly watch theirs. I am appreciative. The Young Buck guys, they do the superkick, I think that’s cool. I guess people feel like it’s done too much and look, you can make that argument all day long...I feel like most of them were watching me when they were younger, that's nice. {laughs} They can beat it into the ground it’s certainly never gonna affect me. The fact that they thought it was neat enough to do, that’s cool."

It's worth noting that Vick isn't anywhere near 6'7", but he's one of the largest men in UFC Lightweight history at 6'3". Fellow UFC fighter and pro wrestling fan Curtis Millender admitted that he was a little envious of the attention that Vick had received on behalf of the superkick.
