Shayna Baszler doesn't foresee her and Ronda Rousey losing their Women's Tag Team Titles anytime soon.
After Liv Morgan suffered an injury on the May 12 episode of WWE SmackDown, she and Raquel Rodriguez were forced to vacate the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. A little over two weeks later on the May 29 edition of WWE Raw, Baszler and Rousey captured the titles for the first time together.
Speaking with TMZ Sports, Baszler argued that she and Rousey are the only real team in the division and that you'd be hard-pressed to find any other pairing with the depth of relationship that they share.
“I don’t know, it’s hard to say. Here’s the thing, we said this when people were complaining that we got tossed in that WrestleMania match. We’re the only real team around. You love Liv and Raquel together, sure, but they were kind of just thrown together. You love these other two people, Sonya and Chelsea, but they kind of just happened to make their friendship work because they’re the way they are. But me and Ronda have been a team literally since 2013, and we’ve been friends, and it’s gonna be hard to get past that. I think if you look at me and Ronda separately, when one of us walks out, you know that, win or lose, someone’s getting messed up. So I think now put us together, and then on top of that, we have a history and a chemistry and a relationship, you’re gonna be hard-pressed to find anyone in the company with that depth of a relationship that we have. But I say bring it on. We want to defend these [titles] every week. So let’s go, see who gets thrown at us," she said.
In a recent interview, Baszler stated that she and Rousey are tired of the WWE Women's Tag Team Division being so temporary. Click here to see what she had to say.
Rousey has stated that the depth in WWE's Women's Tag Team Division is dismally shallow. Check out her comments here.
