Sheamus advances on WWE Speed.
A new Number One Contender’s Tournament began on the October 16th episode of WWE Speed, as Sheamus battled Giovanni Vinci. They went back and forth early on as they traded blows. Sheamus gained the upper hand, but Vinci caught him with a dropkick. He dumped Sheamus with a back suplex and continued to control the action.
Sheamus rallied with a backbreaker. Vinci countered the Brogue Kick and hit a springboard DDT. Sheamus drilled Vinci with a knee in mid-air and hit another running knee for the win.

In the quarterfinals, Sheamus will face the winner of the first-round bout between Bron Breakker and Cruz Del Toro. On the other side of the bracket, Dragon Lee will face Tavion Heights, and Riley Osborne will take on Akira Tozawa. The winner of the tournament will challenge Andrade for the WWE Speed Chamopionship.
