Sheamus has done just about everything there is to do in WWE, winning nearly every championship in the company.
The one title that has eluded to eluded him is the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Sheamus will get another crack at winning the title at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event against Bron Breakker.
“Have you ever seen the movie 'Logan'? That’s how I feel. I feel like when Logan fights the younger clone version of him, that’s kind of what it feels like when I’m wrestling Bron Breakker. He’s fast, he’s tough, he’s athletic, a lot more athletic than I’ve ever been, and definitely my type of opponent. I do love being in there with him because I know it’s going to be an absolute all-out war. But for me, the [Intercontinental Title] curse, I’m trying to figure it out. I’ve had different people tell me it was 11 IC Title matches I’ve had where I haven’t won or 12. I know the last one at Survivor Series added one more to it. But yeah, it definitely feels like a curse at this stage, but it’s one I want to break at Saturday Night’s Main Event. I’ll do everything I can to break it, to become WWE’s first-ever Ultimate Grand Slam Champion. I know people have said before that Edge has done it first, but Edge won the WCW United States Championship, I’ve won the WWE United States Championship. So there’s a big difference. There’s where I want to be, man. That’s my goal, it’s been my goal for five years to hold that title, and I keep coming really, really close, whether it’s singles matches with Gunther, Triple Threats with Drew in there, and the Triple Threat at Survivor Series, I’ve come so close every single time. This Saturday feels like it’s the moment to break that curse," Sheamus told Kazeem Famuyide & Ben Cruz on the Masked Man Show.
Elsewhere during the interview, Sheamus discussed his mentality when it comes to having bangers. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
