Sheamus and Drew McIntyre have earned pinfall victories in a match that was supposed to determine GUNTHER's WrestleMania opponent for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Sheamus and Drew McIntyre were two of five men in a Fatal 5-Way scheduled to determine the next challenger for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a match that also included Xavier Woods, LA Knight, and Karrion Kross. Sheamus and Drew McIntyre would score simultaneous pins, Sheamus pinning Woods and McIntyre pinning Knight after a Brogue Kick and Claymore, respectively.
After the referees made the simultaneous count, both men confronted each other as GUNTHER looked on, unaware of who his WrestleMania opponent would be. Sheamus and Drew McIntyre would continue arguing backstage.
