Shelton Benjamin: The Prospect Of Bobby Lashley Coming To AEW Is A Win For AEW

Shelton Benjamin believes that if Bobby Lashley were to join AEW, it would be nothing but a positive for the promotion.

Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Cedric Alexander made history during the global pandemic as part of The Hurt Business in WWE. For a brief moment, Bobby, Cedric, and Shelton were all champions simultaneously during their run on Monday Night Raw. Now, Benjamin and MVP are forming the Hurt Syndicate in AEW, and even though he hasn't appeared yet, Bobby Lashley has had talks with the promotion.

Shelton Benjamin spoke about the possibility of Bobby Lashley joining him and MVP in AEW during an appearance on the Gabby AF podcast.

"If Bobby were to come...most people were fans of the Hurt Business; myself, MVP, Bobby, and Cedric. The prospect of Bobby coming to AEW, that’s huge, that’s a win for AEW. Aside from myself, you have one of the most phenomenal athletes you could ever get. A two-time WWE World Champion. It only brings a bigger audience to AEW, so it’s a plus. When that will happen, I’m not sure. Bobby has his own plans and when/if they coincide with ours is yet to be determined. Him coming to AEW can only help everybody involved. It’ll be a lot of fun."

Benjamin recently defeated Lio Rush, another individual very familiar with Bobby Lashley, in his AEW debut on the October 16 AEW Dynamite. Now, he's getting ready to face Swerve Strickland on AEW Fright Night Dynamite on October 30.
