Sherri Shepherd Recalls MJF 'Snapping At Her' When She Tried To Get A Picture At The Airport

MJF made the wrong impression on Sherri Shepherd.

Sherri Shepherd, who has appeared on WWE television in the past as a guest manager for MVP, filled in as host of The Wendy Williams Show and recounted a face-to-face with MJF that did not go well.

Shepherd began by telling MJF's history, starting with his 2001 appearance on the Rosie O'Donnell Show and how he would go on to become a pro wrestler. Shepherd then told the story of what happened when she spotted MJF at an airport in Los Angeles.

"I guess the J in MJF stands for Jerk. That's what he was acting like when I met him at the airport when we were waiting in the lounge, not nice at all. My son Jeffrey is a big wrestling fan and knows all of the wrestlers. He spotted MJF while we were waiting for the plane. Jeffrey was really nervous going up to him and asking for an autograph. I said, 'I'll do it for my baby,' I'm like a bear. I said I would go ask him for an autograph. I know how it is with celebrities, they don't want you to do a lot of talking. I was very nice and I tapped him gently on the leg and said, 'excuse me, are you the famous wrester MJF?' He snapped back and said, 'No!' I said, 'Okay, well do people tell you that you look like the famous wrestler MJF?' Then he snapped back and went, 'Yes!' and he put his headphones on and turned away from me. I wanted to say to him, 'I don't like your tone.' That's what I wanted to tell him. I was like, 'he has one more time to snap at me before I lay the smackdown on him.' I was not playing. Jeffrey was standing right and was smiling. He tells me, 'No, mom, MJF is a bad guy and is supposed to be a jerk.' I told my son, 'No, you don't know what a real bad guy is unless he pisses off a black momma trying to get a photo for my son.' I'm trying to get a photo for my baby. I wasn't bothering him, I just wanted a little picture, I was so mad at him," she said.

Shepherd then recalled how she "went all TMZ" and took a picture of MJF on the plane to get it confirmed by her friend that it was indeed MJF. She then messaged Mark Henry, who works with MJF at AEW, and Henry told her that he would handle it. She also said that she has a friend with initials as well, referencing MVP.

"MJF, all I'm saying is, if you could just send my son a video, an autograph, something, before I have to pull out my old wrestling robe and roll up on you at one of your little AEW shows. Gonna say 'no' when my baby is right there," she stated.

AEW was in Los Angeles the week of May 30. MJF cut his famous promo where he called Tony Khan a "fucking mark" and begged to be fired on the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. He has not been on AEW television since the promo.

Fightful Select reported that MJF remained in Los Angeles following AEW Dynamite and did not travel with AEW to Ontario, California for AEW Rampage.
