Silas Young offers more comments on CM Punk's appearance at an MKE event this weekend.
CM Punk stole headlines this weekend as a masked man ran in during an MKE event in Wisconsin to deliver a GTS to Daryck St. Holmes during his match with Ace Steel. The man was wearing the same hoodie Punk had been photographed in earlier in the weekend.
Following the run in, MKE owner Silas Young alluded to Punk being under the mask. And in an interview on Busted Open Radio, Young offered more details on Punk's cameo.
"There's some rumors going around that it was CM Punk," said Young. "That was the building where he kind of got his start at and shortly before that match happened, my wife came up to me, and said, 'I heard Punk's going to do a run in.' I said, 'are you serious?' It made sense with the match being with Ace Steel and having Dave Prazak involved. Those guys are longtime friends. Punk maybe had his first match in that building and unfortunately it's going to be torn down. It's one of those things where he wanted to pay a little respect or homage. I gotta be honest with you, he was never at the building before or after. He came, did the run in in the mask and left in the mask. I can't even 100% say it was CM Punk. But from what I was told, I don't know why anybody would lie to me."
Fightful reported that this past weekend was not the first time Punk made a cameo at a wrestling event. You can read about Punk's run at a 2015 Freelance Wrestling Event by clicking here.
