Sol Ruca sends a message ahead of her NXT North American Championship opportunity.
On the June 25th edition of NXT, Sol Ruca would take on Arianna Grace with a shot at the women's NXT North American Championship on the line. Sol would win the match, and earn a second shot at the gold after coming up short at NXT Battleground.
In a promo posted to social media, Sol previewed her upcoming match with Kelani Jordan at NXT Heatwave.
"Growing up, I was never one to play by the rules and in gymnastics, there are a lot of those. Instead, I taught myself almost everything I know with my own beam, mat, and bars. I went to the beach and the park, and I taught myself through trial and error. I jumped into competing in acrobatics and tumbling and accepted a scholarship to the University of Oregon, where I was a multi-acrobatic event national champion. Fast forward to today, my thirst for adrenaline and ability to adapt quickly landed me in my new home right here in NXT. I was in my element at that ladder match in Battleground. But I'm not afraid to admit, I came up short to the better woman that night. Like LeBron James says, you can't be afraid to fail. It's the only way you succeed. While everyone else might talk the talk for what they think is their opportunity, I simply focus on walking the walk and snatching a few souls on the way. Make no mistake, I am bringing the heat to Toronto and leaving as the NXT Women's North American Champion."
